Everyone Has A Viewpoint, But Everyone Dies, Too

Regardless of politics, everyone ought to watch tonight’s Countdown With Keith Olberman. “We The People” need to get a lot angrier about a system a government that permits a health insurance system like ours to continue.

Whether you like it or not, or want to think about it or not, one day, each one of us will stop breathing - and die. It is the one thing that unites every man, woman, and child on the planet. The right to lead as healthy a life as possible, for as long as possible, is the most fundamental right we all have as human beings. And yet, we are about to allow the reform of our badly broken health care system to be railroaded by the same big-money insurance companies that have, since their inception, pledged their loyalty to the principle that they will take as much money away from us as possible and return as little back to us as possible. To put it boldly, the insurance industry is killing us.

If you want to be afraid of something, be afraid of our health insurance system. But, don’t just be afraid - get mad. The link to Olberman’s show is included.

Why all the fuss? American Community Mutual Insurance is just doing what any good 'ol For Profit health insurance company would do. Protecting their profits.

I'm a big free market/low taxes type of guy. But I tell you one thing, nothing makes me want to scream for socialism more than dealing with my health insurance company.

As long as health insurance is a for profit business, this will continue.

The American government spends more money on health care than many countries with socialized medicine. We are an over medicated country with a broken system. This is no longer about universal health care or anything else, it's about having health care that works.

Thanks everyone for your thoughtful and insightful comments. Not only is the health care system in this country broken, but I fear the process of enacting legislation is also broken.
